Stock Tips Tomorrow- Buy Calls, Nifty ends below 10,500; Sensex closes 561 pts lower

The BSE Sensex tanked 561.22 points at 34,195.94, while the broader Nifty50 index settled at 10,498.25, down 168.30 points. Both Sensex and Nifty fell close to 3.5%, their biggest intraday slide since August 2015. BSE Mid cap and Small cap were down 1.68% and 2.19% respectively.

Shares Infosys, HDFC, TCS, ITC, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank dragged heavily.

The stock of Tata Motors slipped 9.92 percent to hit a 52-week low of Rs 356.5 before settling 5.22 percent at Rs 375.15 on NSE, while on BSE stock cracked about 9.86% to hit a 52-week low of Rs 357 before closing down 5.45 percent at Rs 374.45.

MCX Gold: Meantime, Gold futures edged UP on MCX, as a rout in global shares prompted investors sentiments. The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 30,455.00, up by 0.53 percent or Rs 162.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,293.00.The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 30,615.00, up 0.50 percent or Rs 152.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,463.00.

Stock Tips Tomorrow- Nifty settles at 10,558; Airtel, Idea gain

BSE Sensex jumped 184.21 points or 0.54% to conclude at 34,153.85 while NSE Nifty added 54.05 points or 0.51% to finish at 10,558.85.

Shares of private sector lender Yes Bank gained 6.57 percent intraday high of Rs 337.95 on Friday for the first time after inclusion in the index, emerging as the biggest gainers among the Sensex stocks on Friday and the largest contributor in rising up the index.

Shares of Bharti Airtel advanced more than 3 percent as the company added over 40 lakh subscribers recently. The stock of Bharti Airtel rose 3.79% to the day’s high of Rs 542.25 before settling up 3.36% at Rs 540 on BSE.

The NSE’s broad market indices such as Nifty Next50, Nifty-100, Nifty-200 Nifty Midcap etc advanced in a range of 0.6 to 1.4 percent. On the other hand, 10 out of the 11 sectoral indices of NSE ended in green with Nifty Pvt Bank, Nifty Media, Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG leading the rally.

Shares of Idea Cellular gained at its best on Friday after the company made a plan to raise up to Rs 6,750 crore on Thursday which is inclusive of Rs 3,250 crore preferential allotment of equity shares. The stock of Idea Cellular recorded 13.73 percent to the day’s peak of Rs 118.90 before closing up 10.28 percent at Rs 115.3 on NSE.

Nifty, Sensex settled flat on a lackluster trading day, despite positive global cues since caution prevailed ahead of the corporate results scheduled later this month. NSE Nifty50 closed at 10,442.20, up by 6.65 points or 0.06%, while BSE Sensex ended 0.49 points lower at 33,812.26

Nifty PSU Bank index was the top sectoral loser, cracking 1.49 percent at 3,623.85 with shares of Canara Bank which slipped 2.38%, Bank of Baroda falls 2.23 %, PNB down 2.12% and Allahabad Bank cracks 2.10% being the major drags.

Automobile stocks performed well reacting to December sales numbers. The Nifty Auto Index settled 0.3% higher, led by gains in shares of Tata Motors after it reported stellar sales growth in December. Shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, TVS Motor rose by 1 percent each.

Shares of Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corp and Indian Oil Corporation fell by 1 to 2% after Oil prices posted their strongest opening to a year since 2014, with crude oil price rising to highs amid large anti-govt rallies in Iran and the continuing supply cuts led by OPEC and Russia.
