Bharti Airtel added 1.21% to Rs 388.70, while RIL, Tata Steel and NTPC gained up to 1.21%
Stocks to Watch out:  Coal India stocks will be watched out  as the company  finally settled for a 20% hike in salaries along with a 4% rise in D.A,  and the formation of a Rs 1700-crore fund to cover the medical expenditure of retired employees.
Apollo Tyres Ltd announced that the company issue and to allotment of 6.30 crore equity shares to eligible Qualified Institutional Buyers at Rs 238 per share, aggregating to Rs 1500 crore, approx.
Adani Transmission & Reliance Infrastructure:   RELINFRA agreed to hold exclusive talks with Adani Transmission Limited for the proposed sale of the Anil Ambani-led company’s power generation, transmission and distribution buz in Mumbai, long considered its crown jewel.
Coal India Ltd announced that the MOU for National Coal Wage was signed on 10 Oct 2017 for a period of five years from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2021. This agreement will impact 2.98 lakh coal workers and the estimated total average yearly impact would be Rs 5,667 crore.

On Friday, 6 October, the govt revoked 23 August PMLA notification that required dealers in precious metals, stones, and other high-value goods, to maintain a record of all transaction of value beyond Rs. 10.00 lakh, all cross-border wire transfers of more than Rs. 5.00 lakh and all purchase and sale of immoveable property of Rs. 50.00 lakh or more.

Stock Watch: Nifty ends above 9920; RBI keeps status-quo on rates
