The BSE Sensex tanked 561.22 points at 34,195.94, while the broader Nifty50 index settled at 10,498.25, down 168.30 points. Both Sensex and Nifty fell close to 3.5%, their biggest intraday slide since August 2015. BSE Mid cap and Small cap were down 1.68% and 2.19% respectively.

Shares Infosys, HDFC, TCS, ITC, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank and HDFC Bank dragged heavily.

The stock of Tata Motors slipped 9.92 percent to hit a 52-week low of Rs 356.5 before settling 5.22 percent at Rs 375.15 on NSE, while on BSE stock cracked about 9.86% to hit a 52-week low of Rs 357 before closing down 5.45 percent at Rs 374.45.

MCX Gold: Meantime, Gold futures edged UP on MCX, as a rout in global shares prompted investors sentiments. The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 30,455.00, up by 0.53 percent or Rs 162.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,293.00.The contract for June delivery was trading at Rs 30,615.00, up 0.50 percent or Rs 152.00 from its previous closing of Rs 30,463.00.

Stock Tips Tomorrow- Nifty closes at 10,666, Sensex Ends 309 Points Down; Airtel tops

Domestic equity benchmarks ended Monday’s session in the red on caution that Union Budget could push up inflation and prompt the RBI to raise interest rates soon, along with global sell-off and rising volatility.

The Nifty50 index closed 94 points, or 0.87%, down at 10,667, with 24 stocks in the green and 26 in the red.  The BSE Sensex settled 310 points, or 0.88%, down at 34,757 on Monday. 

During the afternoon hours, the Sensex plunged 545.95 points to hit a day’s bottom at 34,520.8 while Nifty shed 173.8 points to hit a day’s low of 10,586.80.

Seven out of eleven sectoral indices of NSE concluded in negative zone with Nifty Bank, Nifty Financial Service, and Nifty Pvt Bank index plunging the most while Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Auto ended in positive territory.

Major movers & Shakers on NSE: Bharti Airtel (+4.98%), Tata Motors (+3.71%), Bosch (+2.70%). Losers: HDFC (-4.14%), L&T (-3.40), IndusInd Bank (-2.63%).

Winners & Losers on BSE: – Shares of Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, Power Grid, ITC, Sun Pharma, Coal India, and Maruti Suzuki come out as the major movers among the Sensex constituents rising 1 to 5 percent. On the other hand, HDFC, Larsen and Toubro, Kotak Bank, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Auto lost the most, followed by Adani Ports, Yes Bank, ONGC, HDFC Bank, TCS, HUL, Mahindra and Mahindra, ICICI Bank lost up to 4.1 percent.

Budget Impact: Sensex sheds near 840 points, Nifty at 10,760

Budget, live market update, share market tipsA heavy shock has been witnessed in the Indian stock markets after the Finance Minister presented the Union Budget-2018 on Thursday, wherein he brought Long Term Capital Gain under the tax net and fixed a higher fiscal deficit target for the fiscal 2019 which got highly disappointed investors’ sentiment. Market sentiment suffered one more setback after Fitch Ratings today said high debt-burden of the govt constrains India’s rating upgrade.

The Sensex nosedived 839.91 points or 2.34% to a low of 35,066.75 as its biggest one-day fall in 2½ years duration, with all the sectoral indices trading in the negative zone, while the NSE Nifty slumped 256.30 points, or 2.33% to 10,760.60 points at closing hours on Friday.

All the BSE sectoral indices ended lesser with utilities, power and realty sector leading the losses, while Bajaj Auto Ltd, Bharti Airtel, Axis Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Reliance were among the top losers.

Banking stocks led by Yes Bank, State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC LTD and IndusInd Bank suffered losses to a tune of 3.80% percent.

Other losers that dragged the key indices from their significant levels were ONGC, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocop, Power Grid, Asian Paints, Coal India and Reliance Industries.
