Nifty hits 10,500 for first time, led by Infosys, Reliance, TCS, SBI

share market newsNifty of National Stock Exchange hit the 10,500-level for the first time ever on the week ended Friday led by the up-move in the shares of Infosys, TCS, SBI, RIL, HDFC Bank,  ONGC, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro and ICICI Bank. Firmness in most global stocks boosted the sentiment.

On closing, The NSE Nifty made a high of 10,493 driven by 60.8 points to hit the all-time high of 10,493 while BSE Sensex reached higher by 184.02 points, to 33,940.30.

Among top gainers in Nifty Index include ONGC, Bajaj Finance, TCS, Bajaj Auto, Hindalco, Wipro, Infosys, Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel and Mahindra & Mahindra.

All the sectoral indices of NSE ended higher with Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty IT index leading the charge excluding Nifty Metal index.

Blue-chip stocks of Infosys, TCS, Bharti Airtel, SBI, Wipro, TataMotors, ICICI Bank and RIL inched up and were among the top gainers of Sensex.

Infosys shares  hit a 52-week high today, rising by 2.22% to Rs 1,044.8 and closing up 1.55% at Rs 1,039.35 on NSE, while on BSE, the stock rose 2.21% to hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,044.2 on BSE.
