Stock Watch: Indices drop for 7 consecutive sessions, Stock Future Tips Tomorrow

share market downThe key equity benchmark index dropped heavily on Wednesday after a fairly strong opening since the last 5 sessions. BSE Sensex fell by 439.95 points, at 31,159.81, while the NSE Nifty fell 135.75 points, to 9,735.75. BSE Small cap and BSE Midcap were down 2.10% and 1.99% respectively. Indices registered their biggest intraday fall of the year today after the Indian army confirmed that it conducted a surgical strike along the Indo-Myanmar border.
All the sectoral indices on NSE closed in the negative terrain. Nifty PSU Bank index was the major losing index which ended at 3,026.8 level, down by 3.06% while  Nifty Pharma ended lower by 2.81% at 9,036.45 level. Bank Nifty, Nifty Auto, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Metal, Nifty Pvt Bank and Nifty PSU Bank also ended lower by more than 1%.
Sun Pharma down 3.03% and SBI down 2.99% from the Sensex pack. Realty stocks fell with Indiabulls Real Estate (-2.66%), Unitech (-4.49%), Oberoi Realty (-1.23%), DLF (-5.66%), and Omaxe (-0.69%).
