Sensex and Nifty Flat; HDFC, ICICI gains, 21Dec Stock market news

share market news On Wednesday, Indian markets have opened on a flattish note with a positive bias amid stern global markets, since US dollar rose to its highest level.
At 10.20 am, the BSE Sensex was trading at 26,348.70, up 40.72 points, while the broader Nifty50 was ruling at 8,093, up 10.60 points.

The BSE Mid Cap index opened the day up by 0.2 Percent and BSE Small Cap index opened by 3 percent. The rupee is trading at 67.90 to the US dollar.

HDFC, ICICI Bank, L&T, Sun Pharma and SBI were the top movers on Sensex, while TCS, ITC, HDFC Bank and HUL were under pressure.

After breaking 68-mark on yesterday, the rupee appreciated by 9 paise to 67.94 in today’s session.
